The web hosting companies are relying on the fact that almost no customers actually need a huge amount of space. And if you check the small print on your contract or terms of service you will see that there actually is a limit to the amount of storage space that you will be provided with. Although the amount of space that you get will probably more than meet the needs of your website, it is wrong to think that you will have an unlimited amount.

A Free Domain Name.

You get nothing in this world for free so if you are promised a free domain name it usually means that if you wish to continue using that particular domain name, you will have to stick with the company who provided it. And if you decide to switch to another web hosting company, it won’t be long before you realise that to take this domain name with you will not be ‘free’. Because it is more than likely going to cost a fortune for you to buy this domain name from the web hosting company, you will have to stay with the company or pay the amount – does it still sound free to you.

The Promise of Free Web Hosting.

This will normally result in your website being full of adverts. It is very unlikely that you will get web hosting without having to give something back in return. If they don’t charge you they will make money by sticking lots of advertisements on your site. Imagine how embarrassing it would be for you and your family if they visited your site to view your photos and instead found advertisements for porn up there.

Whenever you make your decision to enter the big, bad world of internet marketing, you should really have web hosting dealt with beforehand. Newbie’s can find, though, that the web hosting world can be rather confusing. An example of this could be coming across free web hosting or even dedicated servers on your travels.
